Rob's picture: There's still quite a bit of snow around here in Sable Pass. The elevation at the summit of the pass is 3900 feet. This area is a special preserve where no foot traffic is allowed off the road.
Rob's picture: Now on the other side of Sable Pass, we're following the East Fork of the Toklat River.
Rob's picture: And headed toward Polychrome Pass, where the road is narrow and windy and looks far from stable. There's a bus which just crossed the river ahead of us.
