This is a view of the Sunshine Meadows, most likely from somewhere on Lookout Mountain. When I look at this picture, I find it hard to tell if this is snow or sand/mud. I think this picture could be the Badlands in South Dakota in the summer just as well as it could be the snow covered Sunshine Meadows.
