Naples to Fort Lauderdale - January 21, 2003

On the way to I-75, we passed a route with a big, unusual number. [800x600][1600x1200]

This is an attempt to take a picture of one of the many burned out spots on the shoulder of I-75 (Alligator Alley). For some reason, there are a lot of these along this stretch. [800x600][1600x1200]

Moving along Alligator Alley. [800x600][1600x1200]

Further along, we enter Broward County and the Miccosukee Indian Reservation. [800x600][1600x1200]

We decided not to get off here. [800x600][1600x1200]

At the east end of Alligator Alley, I-75 turns back south toward Miami, and other roads continue east and north. [800x600][1600x1200]

Lots of overpasses in this area. [800x600][1600x1200]

I-595 crosses Florida's Turnpike. [800x600][1600x1200]

And then it ends at US 1. [800x600][1600x1200]

And even tells you. [800x600][1600x1200]

US 1 in Fort Lauderdale. [800x600][1600x1200]

A short trip out A1A for lunch and to take a quick look at the Atlantic. [800x600][1600x1200]

The beach and ocean are right over there. [800x600][1600x1200]
