Frozen Four Finals, Albany - April 7, 2001

These pictures were taken with my Olympus C2100-Z digital camera NCAA Men's Frozen Four championship game at the Knickerbocker/Pepsi Arena in Albany, New York, on April 7, 2001.

All images are 24-bit JPEGs and should be viewed on a 24-bit display. Quality is likely to be very poor when viewed on an 8-bit display. Most images are shown at a resolution of 640x480, but are available in 800x600 and full 1600x1200 sizes by clicking on the links after the captions.

North Dakota and Boston College earned their trips to the championship game with wins on Thursday. North Dakota beat Michigan State, 2-0, in a relatively boring game on Thursday afternoon, then BC beat Michigan, 4-2, in a great game that night. In the championship on Saturday, BC beat North Dakota, 3-2, in overtime. It was a great game to end what seemed to be a very successful Frozen Four in Albany. All Frozen Fours bring a wide variety of college hockey fans, and I counted people representing 35 Division I hockey programs and 3 Division III programs, based on the hats, sweatshirts, and jerseys they were wearing [List].

Here are my pictures from Saturday:
