New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Manchester, New Hampshire - July 10, 2004

These pictures were taken with my Olympus C730 Ultra Zoom digital camera at Gill Stadium in Manchester, New Hampshire, on July 10, 2004. The New Hampshire Fisher Cats were hosting the Harrisburg Senators in an Eastern League baseball game. Most images are shown at a resolution of 640x480, but are available in their full 2048x1536 size by clicking on the links after the captions.

There are also some pictures of roads and signs from this trip.

That's where we're going. [2048x1536]

The left field foul pole, from the parking lot. This is not a good place to park if you don't like foul balls hitting your car. [2048x1536]

This is Fungo. He's a fishercat, apparently. [2048x1536]

And like every other mascot I've seen, he's too slow to win the race around the bases. [2048x1536]

The main grandstand. It's a very unusual setup for baseball. The grandstand does not follow along the baselines, but stays back. [2048x1536]

These picnic tables and bleachers are also in unusual places. [2048x1536]

This is how to use a football scoreboard for a baseball game. Yes, the Harrisburg Senators are in possesion of the football. [2048x1536]

The field is artificial turf, and it's got what is apparently ground up tires all over it. When the ball bounces on the field, it kicks up some of this ground up rubber. [2048x1536]

The old stadium (built in 1913, I think it said) from behind. [2048x1536]

One of the between innings entertainment events was some dogs who chase frisbees. [2048x1536]

Then they suffocated these poor fans who were forced to race inside of giant inflatable gerbil toys. [2048x1536]

Here in the seventh inning, it's a major blowout. [2048x1536]

Submarining righty on for the Fisher Cats. [2048x1536]

He practically scrapes the mound during the follow through. [2048x1536]

After a painfully long 9th inning, the Fisher Cats finally celebrate a win. [2048x1536]

Yes, that 11-0 lead turned into a 12-7 final, thanks to a 6-run Harrisburg rally in the 9th. [2048x1536]
