Minute Maid Park, Houston, Texas - August 28, 2003
The game between the Minnesota Twins and Houston Astros. The great
seats weren't so great for taking pictures, since I was behind the
screen.
Fred McGriff bats for the Dodgers.
[2048x1536]
Craig Biggio bats.
[2048x1536]
[2048x1536]
Wilson Alvarez pitcher for LA.
[2048x1536]
[2048x1536]
Lance Berkman's 2-run 1st-inning double.
[2048x1536]
I believe this is Jeff Bagwell coming around to score on the Berkman
double.
[2048x1536]
A thunderstorm is going on outside. Retractable roof stadiums are good.
[2048x1536]
[2048x1536]
Adam Everett rounds the bases after a home run to bring Houston to
within 4-3.
[2048x1536]
There goes the train in celebration of the home run. It now carries
oranges. I wonder what it carried when this was Enron Field.
[2048x1536]
Alvarez leaves. He couldn't make it through the fifth.
[2048x1536]
Jump ahead to the seventh inning stretch..
[2048x1536]
After the traditional Take Me Out to the Ballgame, they sing
Deep in the Heart of Texas. Seems appropriate.
[2048x1536]
With the thunderstorm moved on out, the roof is opened up for the last
couple of innings.
[2048x1536]
And look, there's one guy pushing it open!
[2048x1536]
Opening....
[2048x1536]
Recent Yankee Robin Ventura is on to play defense at first.
[2048x1536]
The roof is open.
[2048x1536]
Eric Gagne is on in the 8th to try to close it out.
[2048x1536]
[2048x1536]
[2048x1536]
[2048x1536]
[2048x1536]
[2048x1536]
[2048x1536]
And Gagne is successful - with some help from his defense. He remains
perfect on the season with 44 saves in 44 chances.
