The Alaska Highway was once signed, at least unofficially, as part of
US 97. Makes some
sense, since US 97 becomes BC 97, which is the Alaska Highway during
its trip through Northern British Columbia. I think it would be neat
if the Alaska Highway could be designated as US 97 in Alaska.
