Short side trip out to the tiny town of Kaskaskia, Illinois.
Turn for Kaskaskia.

We cross an old Mississippi River channel that was used to define the
state line. So it's a piece of Illinois on the Missouri side of the
river.

It is a small town now, but was once the capital of Illinois.
