These pictures were taken with my Panasonic Lumix FZ80 and Cathy's iPhone on a day trip to Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, with a side trip to Watkins Glen, on April 19, 2025. The main purpose a high school enrichment program at Cornell but we also did some sightseeing.
The day started at 6 and we made our way out to Ithaca for 9:15 arrival. We checked the girls in at the event at Cornell [2 Pictures][2 People Pictures] then had some time to explore the area. We first stopped at Buttermilk Falls where we made the hike up the Rim Trail [10 Pictures][2 People Pictures]. We left Ithaca for a while and headed toward Watkins Glen. On the way, we stopped at Aunt Sarah's Falls [4 Pictures][2 People Pictures] near the village of Montour Falls, then got lunch at a sandwich place in Watkins Glen. We drove the Watkins Glen Historic Road Course and visited Watkins Glen State Park [12 Pictures]. Before leaving Watkins Glen, we stopped at Clute Memorial Park at the south end of Seneca Lake [4 Pictures]. Then it was back to Ithaca for a Wegman's stop and some walking around the Cornell campus before meeting the girls after their event for some excllent ice cream from the Cornell Dairy Bar [2 People Pictures]. On the way back, we drove up through Syracuse to Cicero for Moe's then got on the road back home around 9. [31 Pictures from the Roads]
