The goal of this 150-mile Sunday morning into early afternoon ride was to see some of the places and drive some of the roads near home that I have never, or at least not recently, seen or driven. Most of the pictures are roads and signs for those collections, but mixed in are some nice scenery and small town pictures. I started in Amsterdam [Picture], and first headed east a bit on 5S [5 Pictures]. From there, it was down the length of NY 160 to Mariaville [9 Pictures]. At Mariaville, I took Batter Street and Duanesburg Churches Road to US 20 near Duanesburg. From there, it was Route 20 out to Sloansville [8 Pictures], then NY 162 back into the Mohawk Valley at Sprakers [19 Pictures]. Along Route 5S again, I passed through Canajoharie [3 Pictures] and Fort Plain [14 Pictures]. Next, it was south through some interesting towns along NY 80 [25 Pictures], and back along US 20 for a second brief ride on that great road into Richfield Springs [12 Pictures]. To get back up to the valley, it was NY 167 north [21 Pictures] up through Little Falls [10 Pictures], then a quick stop at a scenic overlook [7 Pictures], and on to Dolgeville [13 Pictures]. From there, it was on toward home on NY 29 and NY 331 [8 Pictures], some county routes down to St. Johnsville [5 Pictures]. Next was the westernmost part of NY 67 [4 Pictures], NY 10, then NY 5 on home. 150 miles in a little under 4 hours, never going more than about 50 miles from home.
