Wind Cave, South Dakota - July 18, 2003

The first 18 pictures from inside the cave. These are from the Natural Entrance Tour. Turns out it's pretty hard to take pictures down there. The blurred orange ones are using the lighting system in the cave and the washed out bright ones are using the flash. Neither is very good. You'll just have to go.

Some of the "boxwork" that Wind Cave is famous for. [1024x768][2048x1536]

Another prominent cave feature - the popcorn formations. [1024x768][2048x1536]

I think this is an example of the frost formation. It's not frost, but rock crystals. [1024x768][2048x1536]

This is probably the ceiling of the "Post Office" which contains a lot of boxwork. [1024x768][2048x1536]
