New York Baseball Day - June 11, 2009
These pictures were taken with my Fujifilm Finepix S9000 digital
camera on a trip to New York City for a day of baseball-related
activities on June 11, 2009.
Images are shown at a resolution of 640x480, but many are available in
full size or cropped from the originals or in half of original size by

The pictures are divided among the following pages.
Yankee Stadium Tour
We arrived with just enough time to park and grab a quick slice of
pizza on 161st St. On our 1:20 PM tour of the new Yankee Stadium,
Darren and I were able to get good, long visits to Monument Park, the
Yankees Museum, and the visitors dugout. Unfortunately, a large group
in coats and ties (who probably didn't pay $20 for a tour) were being
shown around the place so we were not allowed to see the home dugout
or the Yankee Clubhouse while they were in those. Still a nice tour,
but disappointing not only because of what we missed, but why.

Brief Visit to Midtown
After the tour, we drove to rainy Queens, parked by Citi Field, and
took the 7 train into Midtown for a brief visit and to meet up with
Rick. We checked out Grand Central, the New York Public Library, and
Bryant Park, then got sandwiches at Pret A Manger near Grand Central
before taking another 7 train back to Queens.
