Nor'Easter in Williamstown, March 6, 2001
These pictures were taken with my Olympus C2100-Z digital camera in Williamstown, Massachusetts, on March 6, 2001, toward the end of a big snowstorm. Some media are calling it the "Blizzard of '01" but it was far from a blizzard. Plenty of snow but not much wind and not even all that cold. Williamstown seemed to end up with a little less than 2 feet of snow, probably closer to 20 inches.
All images are 24-bit JPEGs and should be viewed on a 24-bit display.
Quality is likely to be very poor when viewed on an 8-bit display.
Most images are shown at a resolution of 640x480, but are available
in 800x600 and full 1600x1200 sizes by clicking on the links after
the captions.

In the parking lot. The plow was through early in the morning, but left a snowbank behind and on the driver's side of my car.

It was deep enough that opening the front door to the building required pushing against several inches of snow. It's mostly fluffy powder, so it wasn't a problem.

A closer view of my car. It was parked here about 14 hours earlier.

Route 2 isn't so bad.
[800x600][1600x1200]
But it isn't so great either, as we approach the Williams campus.
[800x600][1600x1200]
I decided to take a walk around the campus to take some pictures. This is just outside of our building, TCL.
