Snowstorm - January 6-7, 2002

These pictures were taken with my Olympus C2100-UZ digital camera in and around Williamstown, Massachusetts on January 6 and 7, 2002, the dates of the first major snowstorm of the year. All images are 24-bit JPEGs and should be viewed on a 24-bit display. Quality is likely to be very poor when viewed on an 8-bit display. Most images are shown at a resolution of 640x480, but are available in 800x600 and full 1600x1200 sizes by clicking on the links after the captions.

Now at Jiminy Peak in Hancock. This is around noon, and the snow has returned. Jiminy had only 6 or 8 inches overnight, but the snow was coming down most of the morning. [800x600][1600x1200]

Back in Williamstown, the snow continues and has re-coated everything. [800x600][1600x1200]

Snow falling outside my building. By the end, we had over a foot of snow, for sure. [800x600][1600x1200]
