Arches National Park, Utah - April 30, 2004

Devils Garden Trail is well worth the time and effort. And on this cool and damp day, staying warm was more important than keeping cool and hydrated.

The start of the trail. [2048x1536]

[2048x1536]

Sand accumulating between two large "fins". [2048x1536]

[2048x1536]

[2048x1536]

Tunnel Arch. [2048x1536]

[2048x1536]

[2048x1536]

There are actually two arches at Tunnel Arch. [2048x1536]

[2048x1536]

One last view of Tunnel Arch. [2048x1536]

[2048x1536]

On toward Pine Tree Arch. [2048x1536]

There it is. [2048x1536]

[2048x1536]

There's a pine tree in it. [2048x1536]

View through Pine Tree Arch. [2048x1536]

[2048x1536]

[2048x1536]

Made it. [2048x1536]

A big piece fell off several years ago, and someone was lucky enough to be there to photograph it. Amazing. [2048x1536]

There it is. [2048x1536]

[2048x1536]

[2048x1536]

Mini canyon from the recent rains. [2048x1536]

[2048x1536]

The part of Landscape Arch that fell off in 1991. [2048x1536]

The rubble from that fall. [2048x1536]

[2048x1536]

About as close as the trail goes since the collapse. [2048x1536]

Continuing. [2048x1536]

[2048x1536]

[2048x1536]

..to Wall Arch. [2048x1536]

[2048x1536]

Apparently people like to put rocks on these "shelves" by Wall Arch. [2048x1536]

[2048x1536]
