Fort Canby, June 25, 2000

We have arrived at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center at Fort Canby State Park.

There they are, Lewis and Clark.

The lighthouse doesn't look very far away.

The Pacific Ocean.

Looking down toward the water from the Lewis and Clark thing.

A tandem helicopter.

The woods.

We made it up to the lighthouse, which was more of a climb than we expected.

Looking back at the Interpretive Center.

The Columbia empties into the Pacific.

Shipping.

All kinds of jettes and sand bars and things. No wonder so many ships have trouble here.

A big old tree.

Some of the remains of the old fort.

More remains of the old fort.

And more.

And that's what this was.

Looks like a big gun.

Pretty big.
