Trail to the Brink of the Lower Falls

This is one of my favorite parts of Yellowstone. This trail is a lot of work, winding back and forth at a fairly steep grade down the cliffside. But it's well worth it.

Near the brink.

Looking down into the mist.

Interesting plant life in the misty area at the base.

The water here really did have a greenish color.

Falling water.

View of the Upper Falls from a little way down the trail.

The base of the Upper Falls from this trail.

More Upper Falls.
