Lake Tahoe Ski Trip - January 12-16, 2002

January 12

The long day - from getting up at 3 AM EST, flying out at 6 AM EST, arriving in Reno at 11 AM PST, a few hours of skiing at Mt. Rose ski area, then into the Travelodge in Tahoe City around 6 PM PST.

  January 16

  The trip back.. Finally, a little snow, but too late to help us and not enough to make much difference. There was some snow along the roads between Kirkwood and the Nevada border, but the rest of the rest of the ride was smooth. Not so with the air travel. Some snow in Chicago disrupted everything. We left Reno over two hours late, but fortunately our connections at O'Hare were also delayed, so we made it back, just a bit later than scheduled.
